East Sussex Recovery Alliance is a recovery project working with those in recovery from substance misuse, and their families. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those on their recovery journey. You must have at least one years’ experience of working with alcohol and drug users or have your own lived experience and be at least 2 years in stable recovery.
The SSW role is the first point of contact for all clients. The SSW will offer support for clients to enable them to access Recovery tools in the hub. They will work towards ensuring that clients are encouraged to be independent and signpost clients to other services, support and activities to maintain their recovery

East Sussex Recovery Alliance is a recovery project working with those in recovery from substance misuse. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those on their recovery journey.
Working at a reception desk in the café area of our Eastbourne recovery hub you would be the first-person visitors to the hub speak to when arriving, often explaining what ESRA is and does. You will be answering phone calls in a friendly and professional way and dealing with queries, or passing the calls on to other staff members.
You will be able to multi-task and complete admin in between other tasks, including data entry to our database and processing induction paperwork. You will also be promoting the activities on offer, signing people up, and sending out attendance reminders. Working as part of a small team, you will notice when colleagues need some support with other tasks at busy times, such as making drinks in the café or helping set up a room for a group. You will need experience of working with vulnerable people, to be empathetic, have a non- judgemental attitude, and remain clam under pressure.
