East Sussex Recovery Alliance based in Hastings is celebrating after being awarded £280,200. in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. East Sussex Recovery Alliance will use their funding to support people who are in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction in Hastings and surrounding areas.
This new National Lottery funding will enable the Recovery hub to continue offering services to over 100 clients each year for the next 3 years. We offer a range of groups and activities including SMART Recovery groups, one to one support and peer support. We also offer a number of therapeutic activities including art, yoga, access to the gym, which helps with people’s health and well-being. We have a recovery café which offers low cost healthy meals for our clients, and a safe space where clients can drop in, helping them to maintain their recovery from addiction. National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive.
