ESRA Connectors are trained volunteers who work within clear professional boundaries and are well supported by the management team. They provide practical help to clients in ways that have a real impact on their well-being.

Returning to the basics helps to stabilise lives that may be chaotic and creates a solid foundation for recovery.

Here are some of the ways ESRA Connectors offer support:

  • Help clients create accounts on platforms like Rightmove and register for council housing.
  • Assist with completing applications and navigating the bidding process to improve their housing prospects.

  • Negotiate debt repayment plans on their behalf.
  • Apply for grants from utility companies or charities.

DWP Support:

  • Prepare clients for PIP assessments and appeals, attending appointments if necessary.
  • Help resolve issues with benefits.

Befriending and Listening:

  • Help facilitate support groups, chat with clients, and check in on their well-being.
  • Direct clients to other helpful services where appropriate.

Medical Support:

  • Accompany clients to GP or hospital appointments.
  • Provide practical help during hospital stays, such as delivering essentials like clothing, food, or phone chargers.
